Erin & Patrick Dawson
Married September 28, 2018

Erin and Patrick’s romance is like a movie. They met in the fall of 2016 on eHarmony and a little over a year later Patrick proposed. He had planned an elaborate date during the Christmas season that included Rickwood Taverns, Warrior, AL., Will’s Creek Winery, Attalla, AL., and Noccalula Falls, Gadsden, AL. It was at the scenic and intimate winery where Patrick got down on one knee and proposed to Erin. Erin was overwhelmed with emotion and cried but had a huge smile at Noccalula Falls watching the Christmas lights.

Erin planned the most important day of her life herself, keeping family at the heart of everything she did. Her wedding day began at 8am with hair and makeup by Amber at Illusion Hair. Erin’s wedding gown was by designer Maggie Sottero. The open back sheath dress is adorned in lace with a beaded bodice and double train. The V-neck gown was perfect for the necklace her mother designed from family diamonds to pair with Erin’s engagement ring. Erin knew this was the dress for her because she felt stunning! To complete her look she wore borrowed blue shoes from a family member. Her bouquet of Sahara roses included a brooch with a special photo of her grandmother who had passed away.

The early evening wedding was held at The Sonnet House in Leeds, AL and was decorated in her wedding colors, wine and navy, which included Eucalyptus branches, Sahara roses and Italian Ruscus.

Sanctified Decision performed the ceremony. Erin’s father walked her down the aisle to “Stand by Me” by Ben E. King, which was special to them both. Her wedding party included a longtime kindergarten friend, college friends, her cousin and the groom’s sister. The bridesmaids wore wine colored dresses and the groomsmen wore navy suits. Erin created the bouquets for her bridesmaids, which also included brooches. The groom’s nephews were the two ring bearers

The day of the wedding The Sonnet House took care of everything. After a dinner of delicious Mediterranean cuisine, guests enjoyed a 4 layer wedding caked, with each layer a different flavor made by Magic Muffin bakery.

After dinner Digital Entertainment provided the music while Erin and Patrick danced to “Crazy Love” by Van Morrison.
